We invest considerable efforts to make our platform safe and secure. This short description goes over the measures we take to protect your data and infrastructure.

Encryption All communication containing personal information is SSL encrypted (https). SSL is the encryption standard used throughout the Internet - it is used to secure business transactions, banking information and is considered almost impossible to decode.
SSL is used for site access (login information and all account pages) and data transferred between agents and the server.

Firewall Friendly R-U-ON requires no changes to your firewall settings. We use outgoing, standard HTTP, making it easy to integrate R-U-ON with any tools you are already using to protect your network (proxies, firewalls, etc).

Data R-U-ON minimizes the data it collects to the minimum required for effective monitoring. We do not ask for any identifying details other than an email and a password.
Our agents send data that will help you identify the machine they are running on or monitoring. Agents do not send any additional identifying information. All the data the agents transmit is available for review on the agent page.

Secret ID Agents are embedded with a unique identifier that allows them to check the validity of the response they get from our server.

Open-Source R-U-ON makes the source code of its agents (the free ones) available for review. Our users can even build the agents themselves from source. If you are building the agent yourself, you must download the SSL library separately and link with it. If not, agent communication will not be encrypted.

Payment Information Payments are processed through Cybersource. They also host the page used for payment processing so your payment information is transmitted directly to an industry leader in online payment processing.
